Zirra Benchmarks: Now Public

The Zirra stock performance benchmarks are based on scoring stocks and weighing their index value using our (non-market) data and (proprietary tech) insights.

These benchmarks have been maturing for the past year and we are releasing them to the general public. If you’re interested in more info or in a personal demo please contact us.

The first two benchmarks are the Zirra US Large Cap and Zirra US Small Cap.

The Zirra US Large Cap offers a long basket containing the highest scored companies among the ~1,000 largest (market cap) US public companies, as well as a short basket containing the lowest scored companies among that same pool. These baskets are benchmarked against the comparable S&P 500 and Russel 1000.

Zirra produces terabytes of raw company and market data and translates it to accurate, tangible, decision impacting parameters. For any company, Zirra can utilize over 50K data sources to collect data for hundreds of parameters.

The power of Zirra’s data and approach is that the parameters can be flexible and easily explored and combined to construct various ratings, rankings, and when compared with historical financial data, even financial models.

Zirra’s algorithm combines and collectively scores a wide-ranging assortment of non-market data signals, including areas & parameters such as:

  • Human Capital: Number of employees, employee growth and new hires, events related to management changes and layoffs, workplace reviews and ratings;
  • Media Sentiment: News articles and mentions, media coverage sentiment, media concerning events of interest, web traffic, and social media statistics;
  • Company Profile & Activity: Age, headquarters location, funding, as well as events pertaining to partnerships, acquisitions, product launches, and other company activity;
  • Sustainability: ESG-related data such as externally provided flags (for problematic areas of involvement), controversy levels, and ratings, as well as events indicating issues such as legal problems and product recalls.
